hi all, http://www.foaf-search.net/ has been relaunched: We do not use a triple store any more - all important data is kept in a RDB. Documents related to a person are crawled on demand and cached up to 24h. The system can now display data on any dereferenceable URI. One of the components used is available on GitHub: https://github.com/michaelbrunnbauer/sparqlcrawlserver Sparql Crawl Server is a Java Web application that crawls a list of URLs with a specified timeout and executes a SPARQL query on the resulting graphs. The results are cached on disk and in memory for a configureable amount of time. The new internal design of foaf-search.net enables faster crawling and better scaling. We are curious how far it can be pushed. As a side note: Does anyone know who is responsible for data.semanticweb.org and sdow.semanticweb.org ? Neither Stefan Decker nor Markus Kroetzsch were able to tell me.
