Dear Milton, Thank you very much for your answer. We are absolutly conscious about the fact that we need non-european members of the community to make this story a success. And there are no B plans for such an important thing. In fact, as I mentioned in my mail there are more than 10 technology providers (big companies and smaller ones in the trade) who are interested to become involved in the Foundation and the benchmark task forces we are working on. Another important fact is that the project just started a couple of months ago, so it is still in its infancy, and this is why you did not get any results from the links you clicked. From the user community, we gathered a significant amount of final users and practitioners with a very short notice for the Technical User Community (TUC) meeting and, among them, we had three from US companies that travelled over just for the meeting. This tells us that users are conscious about the need for an industrial benchmarking effort. As you know, setting up a benchmark is a tremendous work, and we know because we come from the field of Data Management, and some of us have been involved in TPC benchmarks. So, we are starting this big effort trying to get the largest part of the community involved to make sure that this is a success. Thanks for your comments and, please, keep telling us about your ideas and suggestions because they will help us improve our work. Yours, Josep L. Larriba Pey LDBC Coordinator
