University of Southern California (USC) Information Sciences Institute (ISI) Post-Doctoral Research Associate Position We are seeking a post-doctoral research associate to support a large research project in social media analytics. The project focuses on developing technology for situational awareness of what is going on in social media streams. As such, its research is broad, looking at network structure, dynamics of the network structure and the content. The position we are looking to fill focuses primarily on content analysis and integrating it with network analysis. This is fundamental research and we are looking for someone who is independent and have a strong interest in analyzing content. The ideal candidate will have an expertise in statistical text mining or machine learning and experience with natural language parsing and/or social network analysis. A PhD in computer science or related fields is required. Salary and benefits are competitive and conform to USC postdoctoral rates.
