[apologies for cross posting] CFP: Semantic Data track at HyperText 2012 --------------------------------------------------------------- Semantic Data Track - 23rd ACM International Conference on Hypertext and Social Media (HT'2012) http://www.ht2012.org/ June 25-28, 2012 Milwaukee, WI, USA http://www.ht2012.org/tracks/data.xml Full and Short Paper Submission: Monday *Feb 6 2012* Notification: Wednesday March 21 2012 Final Version: Monday April 23 2012 Submissions will be accepted via https://www.easychair.org/conferences/?conf=ht2012 --------------------------------------------------------------- Linking data - and not just documents - is one of the core aims and pillars of the Semantic Web. Semantics are now well integrated into various mainstream data services and products, such as Facebook's Open Graph, Google's recipes search, and schema.org which Yahoo!, Microsoft's Bing, and Google have recently launched. This surge of use of Semantic Web standards has the potential of generating limitless semantic networks, rich in meaning and structure. The goal of this track is to focus research on the challenges and opportunities associated with realising and using such wide scale and heterogeneous semantic data networks, that can also encompass real-world data merged with online content. Topics of interest include but not limited to: - analysis of semantic networks - representation of semantic networks - semantics of hyperlinks - Linked Data networks - temporal evolution and management of semantic graphs - semantic graph analysis algorithms - semantic social network representation and analysis - scalability of graph-based algorithms and infrastructures - integration of online and offline networks with semantics - semantic object networks - semantic data from pervasive devices - semantic sensor networks and the IoT --------------------------------------------------------------- Track Chairs - Harith Alani, Open University, UK - Alexandre Passant, NUIG, Ireland --------------------------------------------------------------- Program Committee Fabian Abel, TU Delft, Netherlands Lora Aroyo, VU University Amsterdam, Netherlands Sören Auer, Universität Leipzig, Germany Ivan Cantador, Universidad Autonoma de Madrid, Spain Gianluca Correndo, University of Southampton Klaas Dellschaft, University of Koblenz Ying Ding, Indiana University, US Miriam Fernandez, Knowledge Media institute, OU, UK Fabien Gandon, INRIA, France Tudor Groza, University of Queensland, Australia Andreas Harth, AIFB, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology Michael Hausenblas, NUIG, Ireland Conor Hayes, NUIG, Ireland Pascal Hitzler, Kno.e.sis, Wright State University Andreas Hotho, university of Würzburg, Germany Geert-Jan Houben, TU Delft, Netherlands Vanessa Lopez, IBM, Ireland Natasha Noy, SMI, Stanford University Matthew Rowe, Knowledge Media institute, OU, UK Marta Sabou, MODUL University, Austria Milan Stankovic, Hypios, France Thanassis Tiropanis, University of Southampton, UK Tania Tudorache, SMI, Stanford University Mischa Tuffield, PeerIndex, UK Fouad Zablith, Knowledge Media institute, OU, UK -- The Open University is incorporated by Royal Charter (RC 000391), an exempt charity in England & Wales and a charity registered in Scotland (SC 038302).
