Re: Modeling a Network Topology with the Semantic Web

Hi Melvin,

It sounds to me more like modeling 'finances' not 'economy'. Economy can include finances but can also work WITHOUT NEED of crating any currency artifacts... I try to illustrate it in this WIP page: http://polyeconomy.hackers4peace.net
I've also started this 'Community I/O' community group to focus on modeling our economic relations which can but don't need to include finances: http://www.w3.org/community/community-io/

My apologies for sort of 'picking on words' but after not using myself money for over 2.5 year now, and researching moneyless economic systems even longer, I just got very sensitive on common tendency of boiling down our community/social economic relations to any kind of numerical representation - various types of monetary systems.

IMHO if we want to represent transactions of resources and services. We can use semantic technologies to do it without NEED of introducing any fictional currency artifacts... Again which doesn't mean that no one CAN play with various variants of them ;)

Next days I would like to give some focus to 'Community I/O' community group and get the ball rolling over there!
=)
