Open Positions for PhD students in Mobile Sensing & Data Mining, Semantic Web and Human-Computer Interaction as well as Managing Director Institut Web Science Web Science is a novel area of research involving multiple disciplines, which target the improved understanding of the Web and its users and the development of crucial Web technology. The Institute for Web Science and Technologies - WeST - focuses on research in Web retrieval, social Web, semantic Web and interactive Web. The institute has openings for several researcher positions; a managing director for the institute. Tasks: Research in EU projects Live+Gov or SocialSensor involving mobile sensing & data mining, semantic web and HCI. The managing director is responsible for public relations, project acquisition and management, events and own scientific work. The candidate profile will include a master degree from a university in computer science or related discipline. Strong analytical skills, curiosity for interdisciplinary approaches, strong programming skills and experiences in one of the target domains. You will work in a friendly creative environment supporting your research work and publications in one of the most scenic places in Germany.
