The research technology organisation Salzburg Research specializes in applied research and development in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT) and New Media. The Research Department *Knowledge and Media Technologies* (KMT) is looking for several Junior/Senior Researchers Linked Data and Multimedia Your Tasks: - design, implementation and evaluation of novel software solutions at the intersection of Semantic Web and Multimedia technologies - presentation of research outcomes in articles and conference presentations in international journals and conferences - participation in the development of innovative project ideas together with our research and industry partners Your Profile: - Master or PhD in Computer Science or a related field with a focus on Semantic Web technologies and optionally Multimedia - experience in software engineering (Web, Java EE) and with Semantic Web technologies - experience and interest in applied research projects You will be working on international or national projects of the KMT group, in particular the Salzburg NewMediaLab and its core technologies "Linked Media Framework" and "Apache Stanbol". You are motivated to undertake challenging and interesting applied research and are fluent in English in both written and spoken form. Knowledge of German is desirable but not required. You are able to work independently and you can develop your own ideas, which you later implement with dedication. You like working in a team and to solve difficult problems together. We offer an interesting environment at the pulse of innovation where you can participate in the design and implementation of new ideas. Our particular strength is a high team spirit in a highly motivated international and interdisciplinary team. In the medium term you will take over the management of projects. We will bring you in contact with national and international partners from research and industry. Our working contracts are very flexible and family friendly.
