I'm trying to develop an outline documentation for a knowledge base application implementation. I'm hosting it as a project at Google Code: [ http://code.google.com/p/cognescent/] This will be a kind of 'application' framework in which domain specific applications could be built using knowledge techniques. I'm trying to first write the documentation describing features of the framework, in a top-down approach, and this documentation is to be as much complete as possible because this documentation will serve as the functional description of the requirements of the implemented application. The ideas described there are merely functional. I'm also looking for an adequate implementation platform for use in the development of the deliverable framework. This could vary from an XML based application descriptor functionality to DSLs. The outline of the mentioned documentation and topics that should be covered and implemented in the application are at: [ http://cognescent.googlecode.com/files/draft.pdf] Also in Google Code project are previous documents and early implementation attempts (downloads section). This is a very, very early stage of development so the idea is to have as much feedback as possible regarding funcionality to later focus on implementation issues like different semantic and inference platforms. Regards, Sebastian.
