Leo, I think the problem explaining in your idea to investors is THE PROBLEM. I think no user cares whether his information is semantically represented, whether links are bi-directional, whether he can publish information. Users care to solve problems they have. So what concrete problem a user has will Gnowsis solve? With concrete problem I mean something along the lines: "I can not search the Web" (Google), "I can not easily let all my friends know what I'm doing" (Twitter), "How do I know what's interesting around the corner" (Qype). After you identified the problem, you also have to explain: (1) that for solving the problem enough users are willing to pay (or there is some other source for revenue), (2) you have the expertise not only technically, but also marketing, sales, company development wise, (3) that there won't be to much competition soon, and many other things as well ... > If yes, then my argumentation to investors and to myself is: > "TimBl basically inventend blogging, wikipedia, and twitter with the > idea of a read/write WWW, which it originally always included. You can I would not claim that Tim invented blogging, wikipedia, and twitter etc., because he did not! He co-invented the WWW and maybe SW, and I think this is sufficient. Generally I would rather focus on you and your team. Good luck, Sören
