Fund PhD Studentship applying Semantic Web/Linked Data to food supply chain

In collaboration with Talis Systems, Aston University's Business School is offering an ESRC funded PhD studentship on the topic of 
"Decision support systems for energy reduction in food supply chains: transparency, provenance and sustainability".

The main thrust of this research will be the application of semantic web and linked data technologies to the food supply chain with the objective to reduce energy consumption, 
increase transparency, provenance and sustainability.

The student will be jointly supervised by Dr. Christopher Brewster at Aston, and Dr. Tom Heath at Talis.
