[sorry for cross-posting] 3rd FUTURE INTERNET SYMPOSIUM 2010 - FIS2010 September 20-22, 2010 | Berlin, Germany www.fis2010.org ****** CALL FOR WORKSHOPS http://www.fis2010.org/calls/call-for-workshops Workshops in FIS2010 will complement the symposium by providing a forum for active discussions and exchange of ideas focused on cross-domain issues related to the Future Internet. The purpose of the workshops will be to provide an informal setting for attendees, potentially affiliated to different Internet disciplines to discuss scientific and technical issues, share experiences, and to lay the foundations for the establishment of the cross-domain research community which will shape the Future Internet research agenda. PROPOSAL SUBMISSION GUIDELINES >From a content perspective workshop proposals should comply with the agenda of the main conference and concentrate on topics which are likely to benefit from interactions and information exchange within a focused group of experts from different areas and have a wide range of workshops (full-day, or half-day) covering fundamental research questions for the realization of the next generation of the Internet, bringing together researchers from different disciplines. Workshop proposals should be no more than 4 pages in length, and must contain the following information: * The title of the workshop * A brief abstract of the workshop, including the goals, the scientific and technical issues addressed and the motivation underlying why the topic is of particular interest for the Future Internet community, intended audience, etc. * The list of topics for which contributions are sought * The structure of the workshop, including duration (full-day or half-day), sessions, keynotes, etc. * A list of related workshops or similar events held in the last 3 years if applicable * Brief information on the means of soliciting workshop participation * The names, contact information and short bios of the workshop organizers Interested parties are invited to submit workshop proposals by email to the FIS2010 workshops chairs (fensel@ftw.at ) and (dumitru.roman@sintef.no). IMPORTANT DATES Proposal submission deadline: April 17, 2010 Proposal acceptance: April 30, 2010 URL for workshop Web page: May 10, 2010 Camera ready proceedings: September 1, 2010 Workshop day: September 20, 2010 WORKSHOP ORGANIZATION Upon acceptance the workshop organizers will be responsible for the following: * Producing a "Call for Papers" text for the workshop * Publicizing the workshop, distributing the call to relevant newsgroups, mailing lists, targeting the relevant interdisciplinary audience * Producing a Web page for the workshop and submitting the URL for the Web page to the workshop chair no later than May 10.
