Vilamoura, Algarve-Portugal, Nov 01 - 06, 2009

Proceedings will be published by Springer LNCS

****************************************************************************

to accommodate a number of requests we received from prospective authors
we shall extend the paper submission deadline for our 2009 main
CONFERENCES (CoopIS, DOA, IS, GADA, ODBASE) until June 22 23h59 (GMT +1).

Note this is a hard deadline, the submission sites will be closed at that
moment. (Those for the WORKSHOPS remain open until June 29.)

ABOUT OTM 2009

"OnTheMove (OTM) to Meaningful Internet Systems and Ubiquitous Computing" co-locates five successful related and

complementary conferences:

  * International Symposium on Distributed Objects and Applications (DOA'09)
  * International Conference on Ontologies, Databases and Applications of Semantics (ODBASE'09)
  * International Conference on Cooperative Information Systems (CoopIS'09)
  * International Symposium on Grid computing, high-performAnce and Distributed Applications (GADA'09)
  * International Symposium on Information Security (IS'09)

All five "federated" conferences share the rigorous scientific study of the distributed, conceptual and ubiquitous aspects of modern computing systems, and share the resulting application-pull created by the WWW. For DOA'09, the primary emphasis will be on the distributed objects underlying the required archtitectures; ODBASE'09 concentrates on the knowledge bases, databases and methodologies required for enabling semantical use; CoopIS'09 will report on the state of the art on interaction of such technology and methods within an enterprise or networked organization; IS'09 covers fundamental issues related to security in the networked world, and for GADA'09, the focus will be on the integration of heterogeneous yet highly performant computing systems and data resources with the aim of providing a global computing space such as e.g. Web Science intends to become.

As they must, these subject areas overlap in interesting and occasionally fascinating ways, and in fact the organizers specifically welcome submissions in any of the areas that also emphasize the envisaged impact on or from relevant issues in the others. To stimulate this "cross-pollination", we offer a shared program of famous and representative keynote speakers (to be announced later), as well as a parallel program consisting of a number of highly topical workshops covering emerging related areas.

The OTM 2009 workshops:

    * ADI 2009: 2ND International Workshop on Ambient Data Integration
    * Beyond SAWSDL 2009: International Workshop on The Next Steps After SAWSDL
    * CAMS 2009: 5th International Workshop on Context Aware Mobile Systems
    * COMBEK 2009: International Workshop on Community-Based Evolution of Knowledge-Intensive Systems
    * EI2N 2009: 4th International Workshop on Enterprise Integration, Interoperability and Networking
    * ISDE 2009: Workshop on Information System in Distributed Environment
    * IWSSA 2009: 8th International Workshop on System/Software Architectures
    * MONET 2009: Fourth International Workshop on MObile and NEtworking Technologies for social applications
    * ODIS 2009: Third International Workshop on Ontologies in Distributed and Interactive Systems
    * OnToContent 2009: 4th International Workshop on Ontology Content
    * ORM 2009: International Workshop on Fact-Oriented Modeling
    * SEMELS 2009: Workshop on Semantic Extensions to Middleware: Enabling Large Scale Knowledge Applications
    * SWWS 2009: 5th International IFIP Workshop On Semantic Web & Web Semantics
    * WebS ALPSS 2009: First International Workshop on Web Service Automated Learning: Pragmatics, Semantics and Syntax

We especially draw attention to our redefined and comprehensive program for accepted PhD students, the OnTheMove Academy: http://www.onthemove-academy.org
