PRISM outreach

Hello,

I'm reaching out to you on behalf of the IDEAlliance PRISM Working
Group. For those who may not be familiar with it, PRISM (Publishing
Requirements for Industry Standard Metadata) [1] is a metadata standard
that enables publishers to manage, re-use, and distribute magazine and
other serial content. The standard consists of three compliance profiles
- XML, RDF/XML, and XMP.

The PRISM Working Group is trying to reach those who are interested in
our second compliance profile - RDF/XML, which was listed as a use case
in the RDF Primer [2][3] produced by the W3C in 2004. While we have
strong representation in our working group for our XML and XMP profiles,
we currently do not have any representation for the RDF/XML profile. In
order to continue supporting this profile we need to find a few
individuals who can commit time to our group for the RDF cause. Here are
some of the activities we need help with:

* W3C RDF validation for sample PRISM Profile 2 documents
* Providing guidance to prevent PRISM Specification changes from
'breaking' aspects of the RDF/XML profile
*        General specification review
* Providing input for future development of the RDF/XML profile

If you are interested in providing RDF expertise to the PRISM Working
Group or would like to learn more please reply to me at
matthew.c.johnson@lexisnexis.com. Please include your name, company,
position, contact information, and whether you are a current PRISM user.

Thank you,
Matt
