The CBMI 2009 Program Committee invites proposals for the Tutorials Program of CBMI 2009, the 7th International Workshop on Content-Based Multimedia Indexing, to be held June 3-5, 2009, in Chania, Crete, Greece.

*GOALS*
-------

The International Workshop on Content-Based Multimedia Indexing aims at bringing together the various communities involved in the different aspects of content-based multimedia indexing, such as audio analysis, image processing and computer vision, with a specific focus on information retrieval, matching, indexing, summarization etc, as well as looking at current industrial trends and developments. For 2009 it is scheduled to take place at Chania, Crete on June 3-5, 2009. Tutorials will take place on June 2, 2009, at the same venue as CBMI, the KAM Arsenali Conference Centre.

Tutorials are usually half-day and should aim to address a specific topic within the scope of CBMI and should provide a comprehensive overview of the topic addressed. The audience is mostly graduate students. The topic should be of sufficient relevance with respect to the state of the art and the course should be educational in nature rather than just a survey of techniques.
