I am wondering if the TDWG (www.tdwg.org) standards and ontologies were considered during development of the Biological Taxonomy Vocabulary? (see http://wiki.tdwg.org/twiki/bin/view/TAG/LsidVocs) I haven't followed this list closely, so I am not sure at all.
However, the TDWG community has many members in the taxonomic domain and they have spent many long hours working on taxonomic/biodiversity schemas and ontologies, so a very worthwhile resource to draw on.

I am keen to know a little more about Biological Taxonomy Vocabulary, it's intended use, etc, and if we can collaborate in any way towards mutual goals.
