Dear Manos, Peter: On Fri, Jul 4, 2008 at 1:00 PM, Manos Batsis <manos_lists@geekologue.com <mailto:manos_lists@geekologue.com>> wrote: The prototype features the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 license. The only similar tool currently seems to be Neologism [2]. --> The CC license is for the content only, since we need an open framework for soliciting contributions and re-releasing OWL serializations. --> As for the platform: In principle, releasing the source code is no problem and we are considering this. The main problem is that we want to create and maintain a central starting point and namespace for the lots of concept definitions in the Web that have no real home - having dozens of myOntology installations around may collide with this aim. Also, some of our commercial partners have exploitation plans based on value-added services. This must remain possible as well. In a nutshell, the release of the source code to the general public is an open issue and will likely decided only by the end of the official project in Spring 2009.
