[apologies if you get this more than once] Due to the ongoing problems in Thailand and the recommendations from many national governments not to travel to Bangkok we have regrettably been obliged to postpone this year's Asian Semantic Web Conference until early 2009. Specific dates will be announced soon. Conference participants are welcome to propose new dates if they have preferences and conditions on existing air tickets. New information will be posted up on the Conference website (http://aswc2008.ait.ac.th/ ) when available. The Asian Semantic Web School 2008 is NOT postponed and will take place 8 - 12 December 2008, at Rama Gardens Hotel, Bangkok. Conference participants who are already in Bangkok are welcome to join the school and its social events. Details on the school can be found at: http://www.asws2008.org/ . We are very sorry that we have had to postpone the conference and for the late notification. The situation was very fluid and we had hoped would have cleared up in time. Please pass on this message to your colleagues regards John on behalf of the ASWC 2008 Organising Committee and the ASWC Conference Series Steering Committee _________________________________________ Knowledge Media Institute, The Open University Walton Hall, Milton Keynes, MK7 6AA, UK phone: 0044 1908 653800, fax: 0044 1908 653169 email: j.b.domingue@open.ac.uk web: kmi.open.ac.uk/people/domingue/ STI International Amerlingstrasse 19/35, Austria - 1060 Vienna phone: 0043 1 23 64 002 - 16, fax: 0043 1 23 64 002-99 email: john.domingue@sti2.org web: www.sti2.org --------------------------------- The Open University is incorporated by Royal Charter (RC 000391), an exempt charity in England & Wales and a charity registered in Scotland (SC 038302).
