Conf. on Semantics And digital Media Technology (SAMT) Koblenz, Germany, December 3rd-5th 2008 http://samt2008.uni-koblenz.de/ deadline: September 8th, 2008 ================================================================ SAMT 2008 solicits project poster and demo contributions that will be presented in special sessions during the conference, giving the opportunity to present ongoing research and interesting work "in progress". Objectives or results of active projects, initiatives or standardization activities, reports on systems under development, or descriptions of completed work are also welcome. The Demo session is intended to provide a showcase for innovative implementations, systems, and technologies related to semantic multimedia. In principle, posters may be backed up with demos, and vice versa. Contributions will be evaluated based on significance of results, relevance to SAMT and expected impact. Posters and Demos are intended to convey a scientific result or work in progress and not to advertise software packages! IMPORTANT DATES --------------- Poster/Demo submission: September 8th, 2008 Notification of Acceptance: October 5, 2008 Camera-Ready Due: October 19, 2008 Conference: December 3-5, 2008 SUBMISSIONS FOR Poster/DEMO Proposals ------------------------------ SAMT 2008 welcomes your submission to the posters and demos session. A short abstract is due September 8th, 2008 and should not exceed two (2) in the ACM Proceedings style, using the style files provided on the web site (see http://samt2008.uni-koblenz.de/index.php?page=submission). Authors should specify if the submission will be presented as a demo, a poster, or both, and clearly indicate whether the submission concerns a project (if so, they should specify the project). All paper submissions and reviews will be handled via https://www.conftool.net/samt2008/ Decisions about acceptance will be based on relevance to the SAMT topics, originality, potential significance and clarity. Authors submitting a paper to the scientific track in SAMT 2008 may also submit the same work for consideration in the poster and demo track, either before or after acceptance notification for the full paper. Please note that a limited number of contributions will be selected among the submitted ones for oral presentation beside the poster and/or demo presentation.
