how does an agent determine that a particular servers POST method prefers Atom Publishing Protocol formed requests. vs preferring SPARQL etc once the agent knows, MIME types for the request body are generally enough. but im wondering about that first step - service discovery. sending OPTIONS to the server root and getting back RDF describing the various methods supported by resources? is this what WSDL was for? sitemap.xml is mainly for crawlers, rather than multi-protocol agents, that i can tell. by protocol, i mean protocols within the base HTTP protocol, like APP... cdr
