Hi all
I've posted this issue yesterday without much feedback on the Linking
Open Data forum;
Maybe more success here.
In a nutshell.
Why don't Linked Data browsers display xml:lang tags on annotations
(rdfs:label)? Is not the lang tag part of the semantic information?
Do I have to go through reification of names to have the lang tag taken
into account in semantic navigation?
Thx !

Hi all
I had put this question a while ago at the end of a message about
lingvoj.org project, but I think it was lost among other technical issues.
Now that I got over the main technical issues, thanks to various
feedback (thanks Alan in particular), you can re-visit e.g.
http://www.lingvoj.org/af/af.rdf.
It looks fine in all linked data browsers, except on one critical point.
The main added value of this resource is the labels in various languages.
But neither Tabulator, nor OpenLinkBrowser, nor ObjectViewer are
displaying the xml:lang tags on rdfs:label. They display a long list of
rdfs:label, more than 100 for most common languages, but without the
xml:lang information.
Too bad. Would it be difficult for LD tools to take this information
into account? Or do I have to go through painful name reification such as :
<http://dbpedia.org/resource/Afrikaans_language> lingvoj:name _:n
_:n rdfs:label "Африкаанс"
_:n dcterms:language <http://dbpedia.org/resource/Bulgarian_language>
Thoughts?
