Semantically-Interlinked Online Communities (SIOC) Ontology (Acknowledged W3C Member Submission)

Hi All,

The Semantically-Interlinked Online Communities (SIOC) Ontology
Submission [1] was published in a list of acknowledged W3C member
submissions on 31 July 2007. Sending this information to the list as it
may be of interest to its members.

Abstract: SIOC (Semantically-Interlinked Online Communities) is an
ontology that provides the main concepts and properties to describe
information from online communities (e.g., message boards, wikis,
weblogs, etc.) on the Semantic Web. This information includes the
user-created content (e.g., posts) published on these sites and
information on the structure of these sites (their users, forums, ...).

The SIOC member submission consists of:

* SIOC Core Ontology Specification
http://www.w3.org/Submission/sioc-spec/

* SIOC Ontology: Applications and Implementation Status - list of
applications that implement and use the SIOC ontology
http://www.w3.org/Submission/sioc-applications/

* SIOC Ontology: Related Ontologies and RDF Vocabularies - describes
relations of SIOC to other ontologies and RDF vocabularies, and provides
some examples on how to use SIOC together with them
