That is the major problem with many projects,
not just IBM's FS of the 1970s and today's SemWeb:

Technically, the phenomenon is called HABOM (Hype and Buzzword

We have discovered a very simple solution to the Prolog problem:
compile Prolog into Java bytecodes, deliver the results in a
jar file, and tell the Pointy-Haired Bosses that it's Java.
