C A L L F O R P A P E R Agent-Based Computing: Workshop III 2006 (ABC'06) Organized within the framework of the First International Multiconference on Computer Science and Information Systems *Wisla, Poland, November 6-10, 2006* Workshop URL: http://ocean.cs.siu.edu/abc06/index.html * Important Dates Submission of Papers: July 16, 2006 Notification of Acceptance: September 1, 2006 Camera-Ready Papers: October 1, 2006 Conference: November 6-10, 2006 Agent-based computing has been hailed as the next significant breakthrough in software development, with the potential to affect many aspects of computer science, from artificial intelligence to the technologies and models of distributed computation. Agent-based systems are capable of autonomous action in open, dynamically-changing environments. Agents are currently being applied in domains as diverse as business information systems, computer games and interactive cinema, information retrieval and filtering, user interface design and industrial process control. The aim of the ABC'06 is to bring together researchers and developers from industry and academia in order to report on the latest scientific and technical advances, discuss and debate the major issues, and showcase the latest systems. The special session welcomes submissions of original papers concerning all aspects of software agents. Submissions involving both implementation and theoretical issues are encouraged. Accepted papers will be considered for publication in the Multiagent and Grid Systems - An International Journal after the workshop. The Journal aims to provide a timely and focal research forum for academics and practitioners in the thematic areas of Multiagent Systems, Grid Computing, Autonomic/Adaptive Computing, and their intersections. Topics include but are not limited to: - Agent architectures - Agent-based software engineering - Agent-based simulations - Agent benchmarking and performances - Agent communication, coordination and cooperation - Agent languages - Agent learning and planning - Agent mobility - Agent Modeling - Formal methods, calculi and logics in agent systems - Agent security - Applications and Experiences - Simulating and verifying agent systems - Multi-Agent Systems in Applications - Disaster Management - E-commerce - Workflow management - Other areas * Submission and Publication - Papers will be refereed and accepted on the basis of their scientific merit and relevance to the Workshop topics - Papers presented at the Workshop will be included into the Conference Proceedings and published on a CD (with an ISSN/ISBN number) - Extended versions of selected papers will be published as a Special Issue of a journal (to be announced later) - Authors should submit papers through the conference website, which will be announced later - Papers are not to exceed 10 pages (LNCS style) - Final camera-ready versions of accepted papers will be required by October 1, 2006 * Important Dates Submission of Papers: July 16, 2006 Notification of Acceptance: September 1, 2006 Camera-Ready Papers: October 1, 2006 Conference: November 6-10, 2006 * Program Committee - Dia Ali - Univ. of Southern Mississippi, USA - Sattar Almaliky - Alnahreen University, Iraq - Rafal A.
