Salary: Up to £28,009 per annum (Subject to experience and qualifications)

The Mobile Communications Research Group within (CCSR) is seeking to recruit
three post-doctoral researchers, initially for up to 1 year to work on one
of our research projects funded by the European Commission. These posts will
be available from April 2006.

The project aims to investigate and define mechanisms and components for
mobile application and service platforms so you should have a strong
software development background. You will also be required to have
experience in object oriented design & programming, and should have a good
programming background (ideally Java). Proficiency in UML modeling (object
oriented systems analysis and design), Web service technologies (based on
J2EE) and/or Linux knowledge (SQL, Apache web server, Axis) would be
advantageous. 

A good honors degree in computing or electronic engineering or another
related area and preferably a higher degree in a topic related to the above
research areas is required.

You will join an established research group within a 5*A research rated
department with excellent computing and software infrastructure for first
class research, modern facilities and close links with industry.
