Semantic Web FactBook 2005 & SW @ your country reports

Dear All

We are working very hard towards the development of a special edition of AIS SIGSEMIS Bulletin to be published for celebrating the 2 years of AIS SIGSEMIS.

We have three objectives:

1) To develop a Semantic Web 2005 factbook, aiming to describe the significant events and evolution of the "discipline" in 2005.

2) To prepare a "Semantic Web Research in your country" report aiming to describe research activities and groups worldwide(Many thanks to our friends in China for their SW@China report).

3) To develop a guide on Real word applications of SW from companies

If anyone of you is interested in contributing to any of the above streams please send me a mail with the subject Semantic Web 2005 factbook.

I would like also to remind you the publication of the double 2(3&4) 2005 AIS SIGSEMIS Bulletin available at: http://www.sigsemis.org/newsletter/december2005/vol2-issue34.pdf/view

With 6.000 visits in two days and downloads of more than 4.000 issues (9GB traffic) I have to say a BIG THANK you.

Last but not least I want to apologize to Jerome Euzenat and Pavel Shvaiko for an error in page 102. Great respect to their research work for which you can find more info at www.ontologymatching.org and http://www.inrialpes.fr/exmo. Jerome and Pavel thank you for your understanding.

I am looking forward for your comments and ideas for a higher quality AIS SIGSEMIS Bulletin. Your encouragement is the greatest compensation for us.

Best Regards

Dr. Miltiadis D. Lytras
AIS SIGSEMIS Leader
