I always go to great lengths to try to understand objections to a proposal and to adapt the proposal to those objections where possible, if I think that the objections have merit (which they frequently do)

But when someone is presenting a proposal to the group it is not their job to explain the objections to the proposal; that task falls squarely on the objectors.
