My assumption is that my remarks on optimization and laziness were not as concise as I had hoped them to be. The full comments in the corresponding issue are probably more comprehensible. ________________________________ Von: Norm Tovey-Walsh Gesendet: Mittwoch, 25. (My apologies, Dimitre!) I have applied the following corrections to the minutes: * DN: In MK’s absence, I’m not sure we can discuss this, but I would like to give an update. I’ve made the specification much more - concise and what’s missing is that defaults should be lazy by - default. That was the construtive part. There was a lot of + concise; wildcards in a destructuring expression should be lazy by default. + That was the construtive part. There was a lot of * … RD provided information that such functions are in MarkLogic. - * … Maybe they aren’t exactly the same, but there’s some experience - that they exist. + * … While MarkLogic’s functions are not exactly as what is proposed + here, it is notable that an implementor thought about the + laziness/eagerness issue and provided facilities for the users to + indicate this. Probably they had significant reasons to do this. * … MK is saying that if we give this option to the user, the user will not be able to take advantage of it. These changes will be available online as soon as the CI process finishes publishing them. Be seeing you, norm -- Norm Tovey-Walsh Saxonica
