The XSL WG met on Thursday, 12 January 2017 Much of the meeting was devoted to discussion of plans and timescales for taking the spec to a second Candidate Recommendation. Technical decisions were made as follows: 29790 [xslt30] Sample stylesheet for xml-to-json conversion uses a reserved namespace This had been left open pending availability of tests for the xml-to-json stylesheet. Tests have now been added to the XSLT 3.0 test suite and the bug can therefore be closed. DECISION to close 29790 as resolved. 29819 [XSLT30] (editorial) Core functions The editor reported that he had decided to drop use of the term "core functions"; most uses of the term were casual and could simply be replaced with a phrase like "functions" (e.g. in "core functions such as fn:compare() and fn:concat()"). In cases where the term was being used with greater precision it has been expanded inline with a mmore precise statement. §§ The WG decided that AppendixG in its current state is OK §§ DECISION to close bug 29819 as resolved. 29889 [xslt30] Add clarifications on stylesheet invocation options https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=29889 Take formal decision on comment 4. §§ DECISION to accept the proposal in comment #4 and close it. 29983 [XSLT30] Scanning expressions and function calls https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=29983 §§ DECISION to accept the proposal in comment #9 and close it. 29984 [XSLT30] Lessen the restraint on required raising of XTSE3430 for constructs not guaranteed streamable per our rules https://www.w3.org/Bugs/Public/show_bug.cgi?id=29984 see agenda item 6.1 Abel to withdraw §§ This bug has now been closed with no action., following a decision the previous week. §§ 30046 – editorial bug pointing out that the version of the RelaxNG schema in the spec is not the latest version. The editor was actioned to fix this and this has been done after the meeting. We now have no open bugs against the spec and will turn our attention to tests and implementation reports.
