It seems like we need to define URIs for the various mask generation functions, along the lines of the following: http://www.w3.org/2009/xmlenc11#mgf1sha1 http://www.w3.org/2009/xmlenc11#mgf1sha224 http://www.w3.org/2009/xmlenc11#mgf1sha256 http://www.w3.org/2009/xmlenc11#mgf1sha384 http://www.w3.org/2009/xmlenc11#mgf1sha512 I propose we define these in XML Encryption 1.1 along with the RSA-OAEP URIs. (Corresponding object identifiers are defined in RFC 4055 which we can reference). An alternative might be to define them in RFC 4051, using http://www.w3.org/2001/04/xmldsig-more# but I think http://www.w3.org/2009/xmlenc11# is more appropriate. Suggestions? regards, Frederick Frederick Hirsch Nokia
