I uploaded the thesis of another former student (now colleague) of mine who implemented a streaming-based verification of (a slightly restricted version of) XML Signature 1.0, also giving some nice performance figures and additional analysis on why these occur. http://www.w3.org/2008/xmlsec/papers/StreamingXMLSignature_Thesis_Somorovsky.pdf With 2.0 mode, such an implementation could be optimized to perform even better. cheers Meiko -- Dipl.-Inf.
