ISSUE-91: ECC can't be REQUIRED http://www.w3.org/2008/xmlsec/track/issues/91 Raised by: Bruce Rich On product: The XML Sig 1.1 and XML Enc 1.1 drafts currently identify the ECC algorithms as REQUIRED. Given the instructions in Section 2 of the following W3C policy, http://www.w3.org/Consortium/Patent-Policy-20040205/ , we need to weaken the ECC statements to OPTIONAL, at least until such time as RF status is reached for these algorithms.
