I updated the Transform Simplification draft to add missing references and correct some editorial wording items: http://www.w3.org/2008/xmlsec/Drafts/transform-note/Overview.html I've created a redline (which does not exactly show the changes but gives an idea of the location) http://www.w3.org/2008/xmlsec/Drafts/transform-note/Overview-diff.html Apart from improving some wording, setting off bulleted list items from subsequent explanatory text, and fixing references, I removed the phrase in 4.1 that "canonicalization is optional for binary data" since the next section says it is disallowed (later in the document it says it is a TBD). In 4.3.1 should the current XSLT transform URI should be given for the XSLT Transform Algorithm value? Perhaps we should change ...xslt... which could be confusing if we already have the URI. http://www.w3.org/TR/1999/REC-xslt-19991116 Do we need references for the first interop, best practices? regards, Frederick Frederick Hirsch Nokia
