Dear all, Section 1 of XPath reads: "XPath uses a compact, non XML syntax to facilitate use of XPath within URIs and XML attributes". Doesn't is this related with the recommendation that we are about to make on use of QName in attribute values?. If this use cause so many problems, should not we say something like "despite XPath admits QNames and it is designed to be used in attribute values..." and then discouraging use of QNames in attribute values...?, just for making clear that we have identified this potential use and to give the right message to message designers... Regards Juan Carlos.
