Summary: Microsoft additional test addB068
Product: XML Schema Test Suite
Version: 2006-11-06
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Windows XP
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Microsoft tests
AssignedTo: ht@inf.ed.ac.uk
ReportedBy: mike@saxonica.com
QAContact: public-xml-schema-testsuite@w3.org
In the Microsoft "additional" test set,
<test group="addB068" name="addB068.i"/>
The metadata indicates that the instance is invalid, on the basis that a QName
value exceeds the maxLength facet in the schema. However, [XML Schema Part 2,
4.3.3.3 maxLength Validation Rules, Validation Rule: maxLength Valid, rule 1.3]
is explicit that the maxLength facet has no effect when used with xs:QName.
