Hi Vasil, > What does “pattern” mean here? XPath 1.0 expression? Seems so to me. It means a XSLT 1.0 pattern, but you're right that that's never specified in the spec, and it should be. If I remember rightly, we decided to use XSLT 1.0 patterns rather than XPath 1.0 expressions wherever possible because it leads to better error detection.
