Security of XML

Dear all,

Sorry to ask such stupid question, but there is no section related to
security in the XML 1.0 specification although there is one in XProc spec

XSLT mentions it all the way in the spec

But in XML, the word "security" is banned

Is there a reason ?
Do we have a NOTE somewhere about security consideration that we could
share all the way down the XML stack ?
