Both Norm and Glenn think it's important to review it,
but we need someone else to review it.

XML Sec Maint WG and xpointer
-----------------------------
The XML Sec Maint WG is working on a PER for digital signatures.
The Rec references the xpointer() XPointer scheme normatively,
referencing the failed CR.

There are no good solutions. We recommend they reference the
latest version (the WD) and explain in text what implementations
should do.

ACTION to Paul: Send email to the XML Sec Maint WG with our
recommendation.

Philippe says the SML WG is trying to reference xpointer(). See
http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/~checkout~/2007/xml/sml/build/sml.html?content-type=text/html;%20charset=utf-8
We should tell them not to do that.

ACTION to Paul: Send email to the SML group telling them that
they are normatively referencing a WD that is dead.

Norm asks if system identifiers are already IRIs at
http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-xml-core-wg/2007Jul/0005

Glenn believes that there are printable characters
allowed in system identifiers that are not allowed
in IRIs, and if so that would be a problem.

ACTION to Norm: Reply to Martin that we don't think we
can say that system identifiers are IRIs UNLESS the
weasel words in the IRI spec (3987) allow all characters
that can be in system identifiers.

ACTION to Norm: Incorporate changes from Richard about
character classes and security and issue a new draft.
