We should start entering errata for our various specs that mention language tagging to refer to BCP 47 rather than RFC 3066 or (Ghu forbid) RFC 1766. BCP 47 used to be RFC 3066, but now refers jointly to RFC 4646 (on tagging) and RFC 4647 (on matching). When either of these is replaced, the referent of BCP 47 will be replaced too. A quick look shows that the XML Recommendations will need Section 2.12 fixed and the accompanying bibliographical entry changed. Other specs may need changes as well. We should also communicate this need to the XML Schema WG and possibly others. -- John Cowan http://ccil.org/~cowan cowan@ccil.org The Penguin shall hunt and devour all that is crufty, gnarly and bogacious; all code which wriggles like spaghetti, or is infested with blighting creatures, or is bound by grave and perilous Licences shall it capture. And in capturing shall it replicate, and in replicating shall it document, and in documentation shall it bring freedom, serenity and most cool froodiness to the earth and all who code therein. --Gospel of Tux
