XHTML namespace

Hi,

please could you clarify result of namespace discussion as captured in
the meeting minutes?

http://www.w3.org/2007/06/20-xhtml-minutes#item05

Is correct my understanding that you think that HTML5 should use
different namespace then http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml because it
slightly changes meaning of few elements?

Do you think that HTML5 can use this namespace if semantics of current
elements is not changed and only new elements are added?

In the case that both HTML5 and XHTML2 will use the same namespace does
XHTML2 provides means for adding version label to instance? (E.g. <html
version="2.0" xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">).

				Jirka

P.S. Sorry for pushing stick into wasp nest ;-), but I think that such
issues should be solved and clarified rather earlier then later.
