Hi,
I found this [1] issue in the apache bugzilla called "Expand the
conditions under which SSLVerifyClient optional_no_ca works". There is
already a patch attached to the issue. I think this comment to the patch
describes very well the functionality:
"These patches add a new SSLVerifyClient option ('optional_no_verify')
which will accept the certificate regardless of the validation result."
Please vote for it, I already did.
