Hi Phil, all, FYI, note that the second link [2] is incorrect, it should read: [2] http://www.w3.org/2007/01/26-wcl-minutes.html Anyway, as to the discussion on using FOAF, we've had a similar debate in ERT WG. We had decided that foaf:Person was widely deployed and could therefore be regarded as mature. It is also marked as "stable" by the FOAF spec [3]. Other terms such as foaf:Organization and foaf:Agent may not have the same amount of deployment and are marked as "unstable" by the FOAF spec [3]. There is therefore no direct dependency on the latter two terms by EARL (we do however encourage their use). Since EARL is on Rec-track, it may indeed become an issue that FOAF is a less formal spec. We have asked the FOAF folks (Danbri and Libby) to "freeze" a version of FOAF at a given URI (such as the W3C date-space URIs) and publish a persistency policy for it. I am not aware that this has yet happened.
