Dear all, let me remind you of a very important topic call on Wednesday, 3:30 pm CET. We will present a possible solution to variant management and extensibility for USDL. Why is this topic so important? We expect different variants of USDL in different contexts. You might want to extend or alter USDL for your own purposes, for example. Likewise, specific industries might want to reflect their representation needs. Different geopolitical renditions of USDL are possible as well. Such variants were introduced plentiful in the world of B2B standards what led to a proliferation: consider EDiFACT as an example. There are industry-specific variants, such as EDiFICE, and also country-specific variants. As a result, costly manual mappings are required if partners of different contexts would like to exchange information. Colleague Gunther Stuhec (Standards Architect @ SAP) came up with a possible solution to handle such variants. The solution will be presented in the telco. We would like your opinion whether we should follow on this path. Best regards, Daniel PS: We'll try to record the session. https://sap.emea.pgiconnect.com/D044576 Participant Passcode: 6533560918 Dial in numbers: Germany, Frankfurt: +49 69 71044 5497 Australia, Sydney +61 2 8223 9948 USA, New York: +1 212 999 6675 Canada, Montreal: +1 514 315 7878 France, Paris: +33 (0)1 70 99 43 40 Greece, Athens: +30 210 969 6487 UK, London: +44 20 7153 9921 Finland, Helsinki: +358 9 2319 3954 Austria, Vienna +43 2 68220 59207 Sweden, Stockholm +46 8 5051 3640
