SA-REST planned activities and meeting at the Semantic Technology Conference

Colleagues participating in or interested in SWS-XG activities:

As you know, with leadership from Charles, we have completed
our first work item resulting from the SWS challenge. We have two more
work items on which we need to make progress.

We have continued to make progress on SA-REST (including
additional prototype implementations) and
would like to jump start the discussions. As the first step, we managed
to update http://www.w3.org/2005/Incubator/swsc/
after partly learning the archaic W3C system.

With commitment from Univ. Innsbruck and IBM,
along with Kno.e.sis of course, we now have a core group of people
interested in moving this work further along. Our objective is to
make a W3C submission before the end of this XG's current tenure
(preferably by September).

We plan to organize a dinner on Wednesday (May 21) evening to discuss
strategy and plan for our work on SA-REST in this XG. Any interest
member of XG and W3C member organization (or likely invited expert)
are invited to join (sorry, you will have to pay the cost yourself).

If you are interested to join, please let Kats (Karthik Gomadam
<karthik.gomadam@gmail.com>
whom I have requested to help coordinate SA-REST activity) and me know
and we will send details.

After next week, we intend to start regular bi-weekly or weekly
conference calls.
I hope we will see lots of discussions on this mailing list too.
