New W3C Semantic Sensor Networks Community Group

Hi SSN-XG participants,

To continue the work of the SSN-XG and to serve as a community hub for
ontologies and tools related to semantic sensor networks, we have
established a W3C community group.

If you are interested in joining, please head along to

http://www.w3.org/community/groups/proposed/

and join up to the Semantic Sensor Networks Community Group - once 5
people join it's officially started. Anyone can join - if you are not
a W3C member you just need to sign up for an account.

A community group entitles us to a mailing list, a blog and a wiki and
any other technology we wish to use provided it is publicly
accessible. There are no requirements for reports or meetings, but as
a group we may meet and publish documents as we wish and can use the
community as a starting point for W3C submissions and working groups.

This group will enable us to further develop and publicise the SSN
ontology, our work on mappings and annotation, and share other tools
and technologies related to semantic sensor networks.

Thanks - looking forward to seeing you all, and new members in the
community group,
Michael
