Hi All, Firstly, sorry for cross-posting, am including the foaf-protocol's mailing list for I believe there are lots of people looking at online identity and authentication related issues. I was reading an article [1] on the MIT technology review about how the US government are setting out plans to design/implement a national online identity service [2]. I was wondering whether anyone here was tracking the activity / involved with this endeavour? I say this for I do think there is a definite scope for the W3C to give input on this cause seemingly championed by the US government. Would be great if the concept of a WebID/foaf+ssl, i.e. a certificate based authentication, as at least considered/scrutinised by the task force.
