Re: Pre-Telecon Introductions

Hi All

Apologies for the late introduction, my name is Melvin Carvalho, I
didnt take part in the telecon but am a lurker on this board and
follow with interest. I'm a keen hobbyist rather an expert, and have
been following activity in the social space for a number of years. My
background is in mathematics and computer science, and I don't at
present have an affiliation, though I do keep in close contact with
the Cambridge University Computer Laboratory.

I've interacted with a few groups including social network
portability, openid, open social, data portability, semantic web
interest group and foaf protocols, including a few of the members on
this list.

I am interested to keep track of the interim findings of this group,
and where possible build prototypes, pilots and proof-of-concepts. I
hope I can contribute in a positive way to making this group a
success.

Thanks
-Melvin
