Well its good idea, but have been tried some times before. Also there is no spec for the HTTP usage (or at least i have not been able to find it), just an application. There are tons of troubles with P2P like applications and the problems with NATs, Firewalls and "transparent" http proxies make most of them not suitables for most users. Google Wave is a protocol between servers, not to the final users, so didnt suffer for this. I think that XMPP and Jingle are a nice way to go for us.
