All: A few major points to summarize from the call today: - I created a wiki page where we can all contribute to create a working definition of provenance [1]. Please start contributing to it! - We will include presentations on our upcoming telecons on PREMIS (and PROVENIR?) [2]. Let me know if you have suggestions for additional topics. - Jim, Luc, and I will work on a slide presentation about the group's work, see an initial draft in [3]. Not an immediate need, only do this when the group is ready. Audience would be other Semantic Web Activity chairs and groups, as well as others in W3C team (for example there may be interest in provenance from the XML, HTML, privacy, and media groups). - We should start to synthesize what we are learning from the presentations on the state of the art [2]. Perhaps organize a few task forces (for example using the three major categories on provenance dimensions we could have task forces on content, management, and use). Perhaps start to develop a matrix of requirements vs technologies. We will discuss how to organize this on March 19 when we go over the first group deliverable on requirements. - Some topics for the face-to-face meeting: converge on a working definition of provenance, develop a conceptual map of existing provenance systems (ie, how do they relate and overlap), patterns for provenance (from your needs as a provenance user to pointers on what you can use), provenance of *what* (depending on what we are tracking provenance for). Let me know if I left anything out. Thanks everyone for your contributions!
