Re: www2007info WWW2007 Newsletter -- December/06 Issue

Hi Susanne and Michael,

Steve Bratt does not see any problem for using the XG/Incubator flag as a foundation
for our panel and of course suggest us to have panelists outside of the XG too ...

Thanks for your offer Susanne.
What about the title: "Combining multimedia metadata standards in a Semantic Web 2.0"
?
About the panelists, I guess we should think about people that plan to go anyway to
the Web conference and could participate to this panel since we should not have
proper budget for inviting people. My namelist would be:
    - someone multimedia / hypermedia: Lynda Hardman,
    - someone from MPEG-7/21: perhaps John Smith ?
    - someone from the Tagging Web 2.0 community, perhaps Frank Smadja's,
http://www.rawsugar.com/links/frank (he did the panel last year, "Meaning on the Web:
Evolution or Intelligent Design", http://www2006.org/panels/, and he is one of the
organizers of the tagging workshop of WWW'07
    - someone from the SW community with interest in Multimedia, perhaps Sean
Bechhofer, http://www.cs.man.ac.uk/~seanb/
What do you think ?

We could of course have also some members of this XG as panelists :-)
Susanne, could you write 1/2 page proposal ?

Best regards.

    Raphaël
