Dear Advisory Committee representative,
The mission of the Library Linked Data Incubator Group is to help increase
global interoperability of library data on the Web, by bringing together
people involved in Semantic Web activities—focusing on Linked Data—in the
library community and beyond, building on existing initiatives, and
identifying collaboration tracks for the future.
The group has a solid draft of its deliverables but seeks additional time
for soliciting feedback from a wider circle of readers. Specifically,
several members of the LLD XG will attend a foundation-sponsored Summit
meeting on Linked Open Data for Libraries, Museums, and Archives
("LOD-LAM") and would like to incorporate their input and explore the
possibility of creating a W3C Community Group with a scope that includes
Museums and Archives.
The Library Linked Data Incubator Group charter [1] is hereby extended
until 31 August 2011.
